Now extinct, the trilobite flourished in the seas from the Cambrian through to Permian Periods, around 550 to 250 million years ago. They ranged in length from one millimetre to one metre. Their name comes from their division into three longitudinal lobes. They were also divided into a head, often with well developed eyes, and a tail. The thorax had limbs to provide mobility across the sea floor. These Trilobites come from Morocco and are on their original rock matrix. Overall size is approximately 50mm. With descriptive card. |
